The Sterling system is a microprocessor-based immobiliser that automatically interrupts two of the vehicle's electrical circuits after each ignition switch-off. The current consumption of the system is less than 10mA. The system is operated by a transponder key fob with a unique code for maximum vehicle security. This key fob is attached to the ignition key and wirelessly "transmits" the correct code to the receiver. There is therefore no need for physical intervention.
Always follow the installation instructions exactly and use a voltmeter to trace the correct connection of each cable. Make sure that each connection to be made has been carefully checked before proceeding.
First lay the cables between the module and the connection point, then make the connection. After making the connection, remove the cable markings and tape them down so that they are difficult to trace.
ALL CONNECTIONS MUST BE SOLDERED AND THEN COVERED WITH SHRINK OR VULCANISING TAPE,
NEVER USE TAPE!
